Because I can't buy one at my age, and I thought that as stealing goes, it's not as bad to steal from criminals!

Y'know, if you're gonna try to be a good girl while breakin' the law, you'd be better off buyin' from 'em. They'll sell to ya no matter what the law is. It's one of those perks of bein' outside the law. It'd probably be safer 'n better for you in the long run to make nice with 'em if you're gonna have to do some things you can't do all squeaky clean and legal like.

But this way I didn't have to interact with them at all, and they don't know who I am! And I don't really have the money for something like that.
